Toronto, Ontario (January 26 11, 2023) – Humber Meadows Long-Term Care Home (LTCH) and Aramark Senior Living (Aramark) are pleased to announce a support services partnership that will bring modern, safe, post-pandemic long-term care to residents in Northwest Toronto.

Humber Meadows LTCH is a new not-for-profit long-term care home that will open its doors to 320 long-term care residents in May 2023. Humber Meadows LTCH will oversee the management of resident care, and Aramark will provide oversight of the home’s environmental, linen and food services. The partnership brings together two leading organizations to provide compassionate and dignified care.

“At the core of Humber Meadows is a focus on personalized care that is grounded in dignified ageing. We believe that the solution to improving long-term care in Ontario starts with focusing on the individuals who live and work in these homes every day by creating a safe and welcoming family-oriented culture,” says Sadie Friesner, Executive Director, Humber Meadows LTCH. As part of the province’s post-pandemic response to long-term care, Humber Meadows will be inspired by the Butterfly Model of Care, which focuses on connecting people in a dignified, human way. It looks at each resident holistically to inform a personalized care approach that considers how residents can benefit from support that extends beyond medical or basic physical care.
“We are proud to partner with Humbler Meadows, LTCH to help them to deliver a quality resident experience,” said Andy Siklos, President, and CEO of Aramark Canada.

The expertise of Aramark will play a key role in creating a healthy physical environment for residents, as well as food services that integrate their nutritional needs. Aramark will also work with the Humber Meadows LTCH management and infection control team to provide leading clinical support services.

Humber Meadows will directly employ over 275 team members to care for residents, ensuring that its commitment to individualized, tailored, and quality resident care can be met.
