Aramark Canada is getting ready to participate in the 2022 International Chefs' Cup

Toronto, Ontario (April 25 2022) – The 2022 International Chefs Competition will be resuming this April 27th and 28th, in Prague, Czech Republic. The Chefs’ Cup Competition is a platform for Aramark Chefs to demonstrate their culinary expertise and showcase their creative talent. For the second year, Aramark Canada has been invited to participate in the contest.

In 2020, in Toronto, eight chefs from across Canada battled it out to win the National edition of the Chefs’ Cup. Chef Serge Kostenko supporting Humber River and Sunnybrook Hospital, ranked first and won the gold medal. “We are very proud of chef Serge and his big win at the Canadian National Chefs' Cup Competition. For most Chefs this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete at this level and to participate in a competition amongst Aramark’s top International Chefs.”, said Nicolo Meli, Culinary Director at Aramark Canada.

As the day of the competition approaches, the culinary team led by Meli works hard in preparation for next steps and Serge’s Journey to Prague. Sous Chef Cory Balfour, from Queens University, will be assisting Serge throughout the competition in the capacity of Sous Chef and right-hand man.  “Chef Serge has our full commitment to support him and ensure that he has everything he needs for this competition.”, reiterated Meli.
